How this site works

A list of farms and what they grow, built from data that was already public and from what each farm says about itself.

Every fact with its source and its date

At the foot of each farm page is the link the information came from and the day it was collected. If a fact has no source, it does not appear: we do not fill gaps in by eye. Right now there are 150 farms published, 74 with a site of their own and 111 placed on the map.

No marks and no scores

We do not ask for or show certifications of any kind, and there are no stars, no ranking and no paid placements. The only thing resembling an opinion is somebody saying they buy there and what they take home, with their name on it.

The photographs

Only photographs under a free, checked licence are published, credited on the page itself. When there is none you will see a grey field with a drawing of what that farm grows — never a photo of somewhere else passing itself off as theirs. Farms can send their own.

If it is your farm

You can correct anything you like, add what is missing or ask us to take it down. Removal is immediate and unconditional. To edit, we send a code to an email address that already belongs to the farm — the one on your domain, or the one already published as yours — and you type it into the form. Nothing else: no odd registrations and no files on the server. The code never goes to an address written into the form, so that nobody can claim someone else's farm. All of that is on this page.

The ones that stop being here

A farm that has given no sign for two years drops off the list by itself. Nothing is deleted: it stops being shown.

What we do not do

We do not sell, we charge no commission, we charge no fee and we do not write to anybody who has not written to us first.
