FarmsGuides › Finding the farm

How to find the farm you want

There are 150 farms across 53 comarcas and 78 towns. There are three ways to reach the one you want, and each answers a different question.

If you know what you want: by produce

Start at Produce. Each product leads to the farms that grow it, with their village. The names are given in Castellano with the farm's own word beside it, because out in the field people say tomàquet, calçot or bleda and it pays to recognise them when you hear them.

If you know where you are: by comarca and village

Comarcas goes down to the town and from there to each page. It is the quick way to «who is near home».

If you want to see it: the map

The map has 111 farms placed on it. Hover over a point and it tells you who they are, which village and what they grow; click and you are on their page. The ones with no point carry their town and address on their page.

The search box

The box on the front page searches farm names, villages and produce all at once, in Castellano and in Catalan. Two letters and it already answers.

How to read a farm page

At the top, the name the farm is known by and the tags they have said about themselves: generation, family-run, own shop. Below that, their own words. On the right, the checkable details. At the foot, where each fact came from and the date it was collected — if something has no source, it is not there.

If the farm you are after is not here

People are missing, above all the ones with no website and no map. If you know one, the best way for it to appear is for them to tell us themselves: this page is for the farms.
